Beginner #38 French grammar tips subject with verb

Sometimes words are located between the subject and verb in such a way that they can make us forget who the subject of the verb really is. Don’t be fooled by screen words! Let’s have a look together my friend.

C’est lui qui sait bien dessiner.

He is the one who knows how to draw well.

Philippe est celui qui présente le produit.

Philippe is the one who presents the product.

Elle et moi sommes allées au cinéma hier.

She and I went to the movies yesterday.

Ils vous disent la vérité.

They tell you the truth.

Elle nous chantera une berceuse.

She will sing us a lullaby.
