I am happy to teach you today my friend how to conjugate verbs in French when the subject is used with “they” in English, for instance family, police and somebody.

J’aime ma famille et elle est entièrement réunie en ce jour de fête.

I love my family and they are all reunited on this day of celebration.

La police est arrivée sur place. Elle a commencé à récolter des preuves. The police arrived on the spot. They started to collect evidence.

Quelqu’un est entré dans la salle de conférence. Il a testé le micro.

Somebody entered the conference room. They tested the microphone.

Mes amis sont nombreux dans cette ville. Ils sont proches de moi depuis mon enfance.

My friends are numerous in this city. They have been close to me since childhood.
